Cuba Travel Shop, as part of Cuba Solidarity Campaign, offers a diverse programme of Study Tours and Fundraising Events in Cuba. Each tour is designed to look at different aspects of Cuba today; away from the usual tourist routes and allowing participants to gain a unique insight into present day Cuban society with time to relax and enjoy beautiful Cuban landscapes and vibrant Cuban culture close up. Our tours provide an exciting opportunity to meet the Cuban people in their neighbourhoods, workplaces, schools, hospitals and many other interesting locations and institutions.

We also run a series of bespoke study tours for Schools, Colleges and Trade Unions and would be delighted to offer proposals and itineraries on request.

Cuba Solidarity Campaign has been successfully organising tours and events in Cuba since 1998. All our study tours are ATOL protected (ATOL 4636) in association with Havanatour UK.

Cycle Cuba Challenge

Sponsored bike ride to send vital musical equipment to Cuban schoolchildren at National Music schools and performing artists throughout the island. Supporting the Music Fund For Cuba, a registered charity first established in memory of Kirsty MacColl in 2001. Exhilarating 310km ride to the salsa beat from Sancti Spiritus to Remedios. Young Persons’ International May Day Brigade 2008

The Cuba Solidarity Campaign is running it’s first Cuban tour aimed at young trade unionists. The Young Persons’ International May Day Brigade is a 15-day tour which will provide delegates with a unique opportunity to see the real revolutionary Cuba, away from the usual tourist trail, experience Cuba’s rich and diverse cultural heritage, and to provide meaningful solidarity and support to the Cuban people.The tour will include a special invitation to attend Cuba’s May Day Rally in Plaza de la Revolución, Havana, and the chance to meet with activists from across the globe at a series of international events.Participants will contribute to the agricultural and productive development of the country through voluntary work sessions, in places such as orange groves or arable farmland. The whole stay comprises 15 days and 14 nights, 11 of which will be spent in the “Julio Antonio Mella” International Camp, which is located in Caimito Municipality, 30 miles from Havana. The rest of the trip will be spent in Varadero, Matanzas Province.

May Day Study Tour

Health Study Tour

Bob Oram, CSC Executive member and specialist in Cuba's health services, will be leading CSC's new Health Study Tour. This tour will focus on Cuba's excellent health care provision at local and national levels in rural and urban environments. As well as visits to hospitals and local health care centres, where you can witness first hand the preventive and health promotion work of Cuba's policlinics, there will also be opportunities to examine third age care, maternity care and the highly acclaimed Operation Miracle programme. Environmental Study Tour

Our fascinating Environmental Sttudy Tour will be run in association with the Cuban Organic Support Group in another exciting encounter with the Cuban environment. Exploring Cuba's developing green issues with a full ecological agenda including hiking in the Sierra de los Organos, a food conversation project, an organic allotment, an environmental research station in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and visits to Latin America's third largest underground cave network. The tour will be a three centre based programme, including Havana, Trinidad and the Vinales Valley. Full tour details.
